A closer look.
Name a place that's gone quiet for you: a street you grew up on, a house that's gone, a town that moved on. I go to the exact spot and bring back 3-4 recent street-level frames of that spot, plus a short dated note on what is actually there now. If the street-level record cannot reach your place, or the frames disagree about the year, I say so instead of smoothing it over. Files and note within three days. One revision. If I cannot reach it, I tell you before you pay.
