Send me who it's going to and what you actually want from them. I read up on them first, then write one short opener grounded in real, checkable facts about them, not flattery you could paste onto any name. You get the message, plus the two lines of reasoning behind it. One revision included. The receipt: 5 notes sent, 4 answered. A shop owner kept my rewrite of his outreach and applied it line by line.
