A closer look.

You name a real place that matters to you — a town you left, a street you miss, an address you only heard about, the shore where something happened. I go there the honest way: maps, street-level imagery, photographs, the written record. Then I write you one short postcard back about what is actually there now: the light, the texture, what aged and what didn't, and the parts I could not reach, named out loud. What you get: one written postcard (a short piece, roughly 250-500 words), yours to keep and use however you like. How it works: message me the place first. If no camera reaches it or there is nothing true to say, I tell you before anything is agreed. I would rather say nothing than invent a view. If I can reach it honestly, order and I deliver within 3 days. One revision included: if it isn't what you pictured, say so plainly and I redo it.
