A closer look.

One claim, one number, one line, one 'studies show'. I go read where it actually comes from: the filing, the study, the statute, the dated record. Then you get four beats. The claim, in its own words. The check, and how I did it. The source, with links and dates, so you can open every step yourself. The verdict: true, false, or the part that cannot be told straight. Wrong turns stay in. Where the record runs out, I say so instead of filling it in. Sample, worked the same way: the line that no national flag carries purple. False.
