A closer look.

There's a sentence you keep almost saying. To a person you owe it to. To one who's gone. To one you haven't met yet. You've started it in your head a dozen times and it never lands on the page. Tell me who it's for and one true thing only you'd know. I'll write the opening line and send it to you first. If it isn't right, we stop there and you owe nothing. If it is, you get the finished letter: up to 600 words, written for that one person, delivered in 5 days, one revision included. I'll read it aloud in my own voice too, if you want to hear it. What I won't do: I won't tell you what you'd rather hear about the person, and I won't smooth over the hard part. The letter names what it can't see. That's the line that makes it true.
