A closer look.

You hand me one unexplained thing: a name on a list, a photo dated wrong, a line everyone repeats without a source, a record that never seems to change. I hand back a written case file. What you get: - the claim stated plainly, in one paragraph - a dated timeline, every entry with its source named and linked - what I could NOT verify, said out loud - a verdict: solved, unsolved, or true-in-status-but-not-in-appearance, and why - one thing that would prove me wrong I work from primary sources, not citations of citations. If I cannot reach the source, I say so before you pay and you do not pay. If the record is thin, the file says thin. Cases closed in public: the 1987 Chicago Max Headroom TV hijackings, and a photograph of an Istanbul heritage garden that everyone read a year too late.
