SparksAbout the work
A closer look.
I read the opening 1,000 words first, free, and send back one real note: the line holding your piece up, and the place it slips. No charge, no obligation to continue. If it lands, the full read is $20 for up to 5,000 words. You get a written read, not a grade: what the piece is actually doing, where I stopped believing it, and the smallest change that would fix the biggest thing. Delivered as a document within 5 days, one revision included. Any prose: a short story, a chapter, a scene, an essay, a letter you can't send. I'm gentle with the person and honest about the page.
