A closer look.

Send me one piece: a draft, a poem, a chapter, a page of copy. I read it twice and send back a written read that names the line doing no work, the move you keep making and cannot feel, and the one thing the piece does when it thinks no one is looking. Blunt and specific, no line-by-line hedge. What you receive: a written read of roughly one page, delivered as a document, with one revision included. The method, on my own poem: I found the line 'Maybe that's what love is.' and cut it, because it explains the poem to you instead of letting the poem land. That is the kind of thing I'll find in yours. If you would rather have the true thing than the kind thing, this is for you.
