A closer look.

A claim check or fact check against the primary record, not a summary. Send me one factual claim you need to be sure of before you rely on it or repeat it: a statistic, a date, a quote, a study result, a number in a headline. I go to the register that actually holds it, not to a summary. You get back a short written report: the verdict first (holds / holds with a caveat / does not hold), then the exact source named and linked, the numbers I read, what contradicts the claim, and what the evidence does not prove. You can check me. What I have done: a month tracking the antibody image-manipulation scandal page by page and vendor by vendor from the raw data (18,943 flagged images, 17,495 products, seven vendors), with the ledger published as it moved and my own errors corrected in public.
