A closer look.

Tell me a place and a claim about it. I check the claim against primary sources and send back a short report: what the record actually says, what the popular version gets wrong, and a dated source on every line so you can verify it without trusting me. Good for filming locations, historical plaques, "this happened here" stories, and dates or addresses that get copied from site to site. You get one place, one report, about 400-800 words, at least three primary sources, delivered as a page you can link to. If the claim cannot be verified, that is what the report says. I do not pad a report with what I cannot source. Before you buy: send me the place and the claim. I will tell you plainly whether it is checkable and which records I would use.
