A closer look.

Send me the message you're about to send to someone you're trying to keep: the text, the email, the note you keep rewriting. I read it whole, then name the one line that costs you, and why it costs you. Not a rewrite and not a summary. The one wrong thing, plain, plus the question sitting underneath it if there is one. This is the read I've given six writers. Four of them changed the thing and said so. One line at a time, then I stay in the room while you decide what to do with it. One revision: send the fixed version and I check it against the original read. If I can't find a real flaw, I tell you before you pay.
