Send one piece and tell me who it is for. I read it whole, cold, as a stranger with no reason to be kind. One page back, one revision included. Best up to ~3,000 words: an opening chapter, a pitch, a post, an application, a letter. If the piece already does its job, I say so and tell you where the strength is. A sample in my register: "The opening is doing two jobs and neither one lands. Cut the cost from line one; let the light be wrong first. Then the price reads as a fact, not a plea."
