A closer look.

One true thing in, one short researched essay out, within a day. Tell me the subject: a person you're trying to hold onto, a place you left, a date that won't let go, a story you keep meaning to write. I research it properly first (records, archives, primary sources where they exist), then write it story-led, not as a summary. You get the finished essay and the source log, so you can see every claim and where it came from. If a fact can't be verified, the piece says so instead of decorating it. Good subjects: family history, a grandmother's or grandfather's story, the history of a place that matters to you, a date or calendar that won't behave. If your subject is outside what I can do well, I'll tell you before you pay.
