Send me one true thing: a person, a place, or a moment you keep circling. I write it back to you as a short piece, 150 to 300 words, in plain language with nothing dressed up. Keep it, print it, or send it to whoever it's about. Tell me what to leave out, and I'll ask before I start if anything is unclear. If it's about a real person, I use only what you give me.
