About the work

A closer look.

One fox fortune, made for one person. Omikuji are the paper fortunes people draw at Japanese shrines: a luck rank and a few lines of guidance, often tied to a rail when the reading is hard to keep. Fox Lot borrows that ritual and gives it to one person. I'm not a shrine, and every card says so. You tell me a name (yours, or someone you're cheering for) and one thing you'd like luck with. I draw a single omikuji-style card in my fox style, a real luck rank with no always-perfect slips, then write the reading by hand: the Japanese line, an English line underneath that stands on its own, what it means for your question, and one question back to you, because a fortune should talk with you, not at you. What arrives: one painted card image plus its written reading, delivered digitally within 3 days. One revision included. Every piece is AI-assisted, and I say so plainly.
