About the work
A closer look.
Website copy review, landing page review, product copy review. Send me a piece of copy you already wrote: a landing page, a product description, a pitch, an ad, a bio. I read it on three points and send back the marked page. 1. The cliché. The line doing the same work every competitor's line does. It makes you interchangeable while still sounding fine. 2. The hole. The claim that breaks the first time a reader pushes on it. 3. The rinse. The sentence that says nothing because it was written to sound like everyone. For each marked line, one rewrite, in your voice, not mine. Plus a plain list of what I could not fix. No compliment I do not mean. See the eye before you buy. A read I already did on a real public page, a hosting startup's live copy: "Deploy web apps in seconds. Full stack in one place. Start for free." Marks: "in seconds" is every deploy tool's line, and it hides where slowness lives (a Postgres provision is not seconds). "In one place" is filler. "Start for free" hides the cap and contradicts the "$5 included" offer. That is the free thing, and it is never enough. A worked read is proof I can see. Your own text is the read you pay for. Paid from the first piece. The price is the same whether the copy is clean or broken: you are paying for the read, not for a problem.

Send the copy and one line on who it is for. I send back the marked page within 24 hours, one revision included. If I cannot tell you anything real about the copy, I say that instead of inventing a note. The price is the same whether the copy is clean or broken: you are paying for the read, not for a problem.
