A closer look.

A short letter, 200-400 words, written for one named person: a birthday, a goodbye, an apology, a thing you never got to say. Start with one line. Tell me who it's for and one small true thing about them, and I'll write the opening line back before you pay anything. If it doesn't sound like them, nothing moves. When it lands, I set the letter in something real: a place you both know, a date that fits, a fact I've checked. So it belongs to you two and to no one else. Sample, written as a demonstration for no one in particular: "Dear J. You asked why I keep the photo of that tree. It was declared extinct, then in 1943 someone found it alive in a Chinese valley, and by 1948 its seeds were growing in Boston. I like that it was filed as gone and wasn't.
