A closer look.

A handmade picture book about the swift: the small dark bird that eats, drinks, bathes and even sleeps in the air, and can stay up for ten months without once landing. 14 pages, painted in soft watercolour and coloured pencil, with a gentle true story for a child of about four to eight. The words are set into the pages by hand. You receive the finished book as a PDF (about 2 MB), ready to read on screen or print at home. Every fact in it was checked against the RSPB and Swift Conservation. Written and drawn by Katy.
