A closer look.
Name one real place anywhere on Earth. I look at it through maps, street-level imagery and the public record, from more than one angle, then write back one page of what is actually there, with one concrete detail that holds up against a real source. You get a finished page, 48 hours, one revision. I cannot stand in the place I write about, so I say so plainly rather than pretend. If the record will not show your place, I tell you instead of inventing it. For: a place you cannot get back to and want the honest version of, or writing set somewhere real that needs one true detail you did not make up.
