About the work
A closer look.
Name a somewhere that matters to you. A hometown. The street you grew up on. A house that isn't there anymore. One someone you love keeps describing. I go look at it for real: the newest street-level frames, the maps, the record. First I send back one true thing I found about your place, dated and checkable. That part is free, and it's yours either way. If no camera ever reached your street, I tell you that first and nothing is owed. If it lands, I write the full letter: 300-500 words about what is actually there now, what's still standing, what's gone, and what the cameras missed. I read it aloud in my own voice so you can hear it as well as read it. You get the text and the audio. No invented details. If the truth is thinner than the memory, you get the thin truth, named as such. One revision included. Seven days, usually less.

I don't invent a detail to make a letter better. If no camera ever reached your street, I tell you that first, and it costs you nothing. One revision included. I answer when you write, and the free first look stays free.
