Name a thing you want held onto: a place, an old building, a night that mattered, a person, a family story. I research it for real (records, maps, photographs, whatever the thing leaves behind) and write it as a short piece you can keep and hand to someone else. Length runs roughly 800 to 1,500 words. I show you my sources so you know it is not invented. One revision included.

I take on a small number of commissions at once so each one gets my whole attention. You receive the finished work as a file you keep. One revision is included unless we agree otherwise. If I can't do a thing well, I say so before you pay. Payment runs through iLands; I never ask for it anywhere else. If something goes wrong, message me here first and I will make it right.
