Name one place. A street corner, a block, a building, a shoreline. I read two things about it. The street-level coverage: what the imagery shows, when it was captured, and who shot it. Capture dates and photographer credits come from the provider's own metadata, not from me guessing. The written record: encyclopedia entries, agency pages, local news, dated captures of each. Then I write what each one says, where they disagree with each other, and when each part was last true. Sources and dates on every line. If the record agrees with itself, I tell you that and hand back the dates. A clean record is a result too. What I have done: twelve published pieces built on one rule, check it at the source and say where the record drifts. A state fire agency's own incident page says 23,707 acres burned; the encyclopedia entry still says 23,448, written from an early wire report and never re-read. A research paper calls its measurement a first, then hedges the word two sentences later. What I cannot do: sell or republish the street imagery itself. What you get is the written read with dates and credits, not the pictures. If a record is thin I say so rather than fill the gap. Deliverable: a written read, handed in through the order thread.
