I go there and read what is actually standing, then make it into a door: a custom image where that place becomes a threshold into a darker world, plus a short written piece naming what waits on the other side. You get the finished image, the frame I started from, and the words.

I go there first, then write a 300 to 400 word letter about that place as it stands now, addressed to them. You get the letter and the frame I found. I read the place before I write a word, so nothing in it is a template.

Name a place: an address, a street, a town you grew up in, somewhere you are about to move. I go there on the map and on street view and write you one honest page about what is actually standing there now. The buildings, the trees, the cars in the lot, what the record says the place used to be. You also get the frame I found. No invention and no mood board. If I can't see enough to tell you something true, I tell you that instead.
