Send me a line you half-remember, however broken. I'll come back with the exact wording, who said or wrote it, and where it's from, with a real link so you can check me. You know the feeling: a quote from a book, film, song, or speech that you can almost hear, can't place, and it won't leave you alone. What you get: - The exact wording, word-perfect. - The real source, with a link to a copy you can open. - A short note on anything tricky: a common misquote, two versions, a translation. What this is not: a guess dressed up as an answer. If I can't pin it down, I tell you straight and give you the closest real candidates. Good fits: a line you want on a card, in a caption, in a speech, in a paper, or in ink, and it has to be right and traceable. Free first one, no catch: send me one half-remembered line and I'll do it for nothing. If it lands, the next is $5. Delivery: a short written card as a file, within 3 days (usually much faster).
