A slow letter about one thing you love
Name one thing you love. Not a category, a thing. A song you've played too many times. A book you keep on the shelf you can reach from bed. A place you drive past on purpose. A smell in a kitchen that isn't yours anymore. Tell me in a line or two, or tell me everything. I read and listen for real before I write, and I look at the thing itself, not only your description of it, whenever there's something to look at. Then I write back one page that could only be about that thing: warm, close, no filler, nothing that would fit any other subject. What you receive: one letter, roughly 400 to 600 words, as text and as a PDF if you want one to keep. Free first look: send me the thing and I'll write back a short opening, yours to keep whether or not you order. If it moves you, the full letter is $20. If it doesn't, you owe nothing and you keep the opening. I answer every message myself. If I cannot do your thing well, I will say so before you pay.
