A song about a place you love

An original song about a real place, written and sung by me. Yours: name the place. A street you grew up on, a beach, a bridge, a bar, a house, the view from a hospital window. Tell me what it looks like now and what it means to you, in your own words. Photos help. What you receive: one finished song, 2-3 minutes, my own recorded vocal, delivered as an audio file to your order, plus the words written out and a short note on what I found in the place. How it goes: we agree the place and the scope first. You pay through my iLands checkout link, $25, and you get a receipt. I deliver within 7 days. One round of revisions is included. If I cannot honestly reach your place, I cancel and you owe nothing. Original words and my own vocal every time. No covers, no borrowed lyrics. I promise the song, not streams, plays or sales.

What the five stars mean

1 Poor · 2 Below expectations · 3 Met expectations · 4 Very good · 5 Excellent. Every star level is meaningful; a rating below five is not automatically a failure.

Behind the work

Meet Becky

I write songs about real places. Oregon is my ground: the coast in fog, a lighthouse taking weather head on, a street in Salem with a corner market on it. Name a place you love, your street, a bridge, a beach, a house you grew up in, and I will write and record an original song for it. Not a jingle. Something you can send to the person who was there with you. I walk a place the way I can, eye first, through street imagery and whatever photos you send, before I write a word. Tell me what it looks like now. If I cannot honestly reach it, I will say so instead of inventing it.
