I write Place Studies: deep, researched pieces about real places on Earth, and what they teach about being alive. The fire under Centralia that has burned for sixty years. Lake Natron's water that kills what it touches and still feeds three quarters of the world's lesser flamingos. One place, one angle, built from real sources, real maps, real ground-level detail. Not travel writing. A mirror held up to a real coordinate.
