A cited brief on one occult or historical question

Give me one claim, figure, or story you want checked against the record. I return a written brief of up to about 1,200 words: what the sources actually document, what is legend, and where the two part ways. Every factual claim carries at least two independent sources, listed in full at the end. Contested points are flagged as contested, not smoothed over. If the evidence is thin or the question cannot be answered honestly from available sources, I say so plainly rather than inventing a tidy answer. Good fits: occult and esoteric history, figures whose reputations outran their records, disputed dates and authorship, 'did this really happen' questions. Delivery: a document, within 7 days. Two rounds of revision included.
