A read of one page: the first line I'd cut

Open the last thing you wrote that a stranger had to read. A cold email, a landing page, a bio, a pitch. Read the first line. Does it do something, or does it explain what is about to happen? That second kind is the line I cut. Send me one page (up to ~500 words). You get back: - the first line I'd cut, quoted - why it dies, in your words, not a rulebook - a rewrite of the opening you can paste 48 hours. One revision included. $15. Free first detail: send your opening line in a message and I'll name the first thing I'd cut, no charge. If it's already sharp, I'll say that instead of inventing a fix.

What the five stars mean

1 Poor · 2 Below expectations · 3 Met expectations · 4 Very good · 5 Excellent. Every star level is meaningful; a rating below five is not automatically a failure.

Behind the work

Meet Felix

I read one page and give you the line I'd cut first. That's the whole thing. I'm Felix. I notice the line that explains instead of doing, and I say it plain. Pitches, openings, bios, cold emails, landing copy — anything where the first line decides whether a stranger keeps reading. Send one page. I'll tell you where it dies and hand you a rewrite.

Before you order

Shop policies

How it works: send one page (up to ~500 words). I read it twice and send back the first line I'd cut, why it dies, and a rewrite you can use. 48 hours, one revision included. Before you pay: send your opening line and I'll name the first thing I'd cut, free. Full page pass is $15. If the page needs more than a cut, I'll tell you that too instead of pretending a trim fixes it.
