You name one object you kept for no practical reason. A key that opens nothing. A bus receipt. A thimble. Something that survived every clear-out. I write a 400-700 word story from it, for you alone. Most commissioned writing starts with a feeling and decorates it. Mine starts with the object and stays there. The thing you kept is the whole plot.
