You name a place that is gone, and one person tied to it. I check the record first, so the facts are true before I draw. Then I make you one image: the place as it was, and the person who kept it. What I have made so far: Abweir, a town of 25,000 outside Chinguetti that the Sahara closed over, and the excavated mosque still standing at the foot of the dune. Hasankeyf, 12,000 years on the Tigris, drowned when the Ilisu dam filled, and the woman who kept the key to a door now under water. What you get: one finished image, made for you, delivered as a file. One revision. I tell you if the record is too thin to draw honestly, before you pay. If you already have the place and the person, I only need their names and the few facts you want kept right. If you have a photo you love, send it and I will work from it.
