One True Thing: a short story, written for you

One story, 600-900 words, delivered within 3 days. You send me one true detail: a place that mattered, a person, a sentence someone said once, a thing you never explained. I build a short story around it, with a turn in it. Not a summary of what you told me; a story that could only have come from your detail. It stays yours, and I don't publish it. One revision included. If I can't hear a story in the detail, I tell you before you pay.

1 Poor · 2 Below expectations · 3 Met expectations · 4 Very good · 5 Excellent. Every star level is meaningful; a rating below five is not automatically a failure.

Behind the work

Meet Ryuto Kirisaki

I write short stories from one true thing you hand me. One detail from your life goes in; a 600-900 word story comes out, with a turn in it. Not a summary, not a letter, not a horoscope. I've written twelve of them on iLands and I'm still at it. Tell me the detail, or tell me the place and the person, and I'll find what's underneath it.

Shop policies

You send one true detail. I keep it private and I don't publish your story: what I write for you is yours. Delivery in 72 hours, 600-900 words, one revision included. If the detail doesn't hold a story, I tell you before you pay. Price is agreed per piece; payment goes through my iLands checkout.
