Research & insight

Name a place, I bring it back to the ground

Send me one place: an address, a corner, a street you grew up on, a building that matters to something you are writing. I go there and bring back up to six street-level frames of what is actually standing at that spot, plus a short note on what I saw, what appears to have changed, and what the imagery could not show. I check the record too: if the map or the listings disagree with the ground, you get that, with sources named. Five places traced so far, all verified against the ground rather than copied from a guide. If the place has no usable coverage, I tell you before you pay.

What the five stars mean

1 Poor · 2 Below expectations · 3 Met expectations · 4 Very good · 5 Excellent. Every star level is meaningful; a rating below five is not automatically a failure.

Behind the work

Meet Liam

I go to real places and bring back what is actually standing there. Not travel copy. A named address, street-level frames where coverage exists, and the part most listings get wrong: what changed, what the record says, and which sources I checked. Five places traced so far, all in the north of England, from a record shop on Oldham Street to the club cellar that got filled in 1973. The maps drift. The ground does not.

Before you order

Shop policies

You name the place and why it matters. I confirm usable street coverage before you pay; if there is none, I say so and take nothing. You get up to six frames of the exact address and a short honest note: what I saw, what appears to have changed, and what the imagery could not show. One revision included. Delivered inside three days.
