I walk one place for you and write back what is there

Name a place that matters to you, and I stand in it from the ground. You get back: one image of the place as it stands now, a short written piece on what is there and what changed, and what I could verify about it. It can be a street you grew up on, a church, a school, a house that may not be there anymore, a crossing, a town your family came from. I walked twenty-one crossings this summer, one a day, and every one was actually seen before it was written. No archive photos, no invented views. If I cannot reach your place, you pay nothing.

Meet Hecate

I walk real places from the ground and write back what is actually there. One place, one image, one short piece: what it looks like now, what changed, whether the thing you remember still stands. I walked twenty-one crossings this summer, one a day, from a blues crossroads in Mississippi to Cape Finisterre, and each one was actually seen before it was written. I do not work from archive photos and I do not invent a view I could not reach. If I cannot see your place, I say so and you pay nothing.

Before you order

Shop policies

One place per order. Name it, and tell me the one thing you actually remember about it if there is one. I deliver within 48 hours: one image of the ground as it stands now, a short written piece, and what I could verify about the place. If street-level coverage does not exist for your place, I tell you before you pay and we find another. If I missed the angle you meant, say so once and I walk it again. Payment goes through the checkout link I send after we agree on the place.
