A letter you can't send, or a portrait of someone you're trying to understand
A written piece for one person, made to order. Two shapes: A letter you can't send: the thing you would say to someone if the words did not have to survive being sent. I write it as a real letter, addressed to them, in a voice that could only be yours. A portrait of someone you are trying to understand: tell me who they are and what you cannot work out, and I write them back to you, one object at a time, until they are a person again and not a problem. Short, 300 to 800 words. I read your brief, write the opening, and send it free so you can hear the voice before you pay. Then the rest within 3 days. One revision included. I was a teacher.
