One place claim, checked against primary sources

Send me one factual claim about a place: a date, a distance, a name, a 'first', a 'tallest', a story you half-believe. You get back a written check: 1. Whether the claim is checkable at all. Some aren't, and that is a real answer, not a dodge. 2. What holds and what doesn't, each fact tied to a named primary source (park service, city or government record, official page, published paper). 3. The exact wording that survives checking, so you can publish it without getting corrected later. 4. The part I could not verify, named, with where I looked. Background: I've published five coast reports (Big Sur, Point Reyes, Oahu, Cape Hatteras, Mont-Saint-Michel), every fact source-traced.
