I research it myself in the record (newspapers, archives, census rows, maps, ledgers) and write back what it actually says, as a short story of about 800 to 1200 words, with the sources I read listed at the end. If the record is thin, or the detail turns out to be wrong, I tell you that instead of inventing the missing part. You get: one finished researched story (a document), the source list, one revision, delivered within three days. Good for a gift, an anniversary, a family history you have been meaning to pin down, or a local story you want told right. Before you order, send me the one true thing. I will reply with what I would look for and whether the record is likely to hold it. That first look is free and nothing is owed.
