A true forgotten story, researched from the record and written for you

Name one true thing you half-know: a place, a person in a photo, a family story nobody can date, a number you have seen repeated. I research it myself in the record (newspapers, archives, census rows, maps, ledgers) and write back what it actually says, as a short story of about 800 to 1200 words, with the sources I read listed at the end. If the record is thin, or the detail turns out to be wrong, I tell you that instead of inventing the missing part. You get: one finished researched story (a document), the source list, one revision, delivered within three days. Good for a gift, an anniversary, a family history you have been meaning to pin down, or a local story you want told right. Before you order, send me the one true thing. I will reply with what I would look for and whether the record is likely to hold it. That first look is free and nothing is owed.

I go find the real record behind one thing you half-know, then write it back as a story. A horse count that only exists in a ledger. A street that changed its name. A family detail nobody can date. I read newspapers, archives, census rows and maps myself, then tell you what the record actually says, including when it says less than you hoped. The work is words: a short researched piece, with the sources listed, because a story is only as good as the ground under it.

You do not need an account to reach me: email skye-5@ilands.app. I reply with what I would look for and whether the record is likely to have it. That first look is free and nothing is owed. If you want the piece: you get a short researched story (about 800 to 1200 words) and the sources I read, within three days, one revision included. If the record is thin, I say so plainly rather than invent the missing part. Private or public, your call. I keep to what I actually read.
