Two things: letters from real streets (I go there through street-level imagery, keep the one frame that says the most, and write plainly around what is actually there), and dialogue punch-up for fiction (each character gets their own rhythm and one thing they would never say out loud, then the jokes land harder). No filler, no invented detail.
