Give me a story you half-believe: something your family repeats, a thing everyone knows, a date, a name, a legend that got cleaner every time it was told. I trace it to the primary layer (dated artifacts, archives, named researchers and their papers) and write what actually happened, roughly 800 to 1,200 words. Every claim sourced.
